American model Arizona Muse exiting Stella McCartney show during Paris Fashion Week. Arizona is wearing an asymmetric parrot printed top and skirt from Stella McCartney’s 2018 Resort collection. I love how light this silk skirt falls, and the asymmetrical cut gives it so much movement.
As I told you a couple of months ago since summer we are living in Luzern, Switzerland. We have a beautiful flat (that I will show you at some point when we are finally done with all the decoration), Noah is going to school, and we are starting to meet people… The next thing on my list was to get a job.
That part was a bit more complicated as I don’t speak German but that did not stop me from applying to a job offer that sounded like it was tailor made for me. Long story short: I got the job. Yay! You can’t imagine how happy I am.
This week is my first week so I spent the last days trying to create the perfect work uniform. My idea was creating a look that was versatile, so i could wear it for the office but also easy to combine for weekends. The solution came in form of a button down shirt. A shirt is the perfect piece that you can combine with trousers, skirts or jeans. But not any shirt will work, so I on the hunt for THE shirt.
It had to be made of the right fabric, I did not want it to be too shiny or to feel too rough. I also wanted it to be slim fit and I was looking for something more than just the classic white shirt. So you can’t imagine how happy I was when I found this polka dot shirt from Gant.
Finally I found the perfect button down shirt:
By the way, Gant has a brilliant series of interviews called Couple Thinkers. On their last episode they interviewed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, love it!
A saw her while walking on the streets of paris after one of the fashion shows. Her green shiny boots got my attention but then I start focusing on how great she look with a pair of jeans and a “simple” grey sweatshirt.
The grey sweatshirt is definitely and essential piece that one should own. Need to get my hands in one like this!
Do you already have one?
This summer the straw hat has made a come back. I love this in particular, the straw boater hat but for me it’s a very complicated hat to wear. Somehow hats and curls has always been a no go for me. I feel I will end up looking a bit like Krusty the clown. Maybe one day I will adventure to give the straw hat a try, maybe with a pony tail?
Check more on straw hats over here.
We have been seeing the blue and white striped shirt everywhere! And for sure you already own one…or two! Here are some ideas on how to combine it. Try putting a dress on top like on the first picture, the golden shoes are a great idea.
The blue and white striped shirt gets along perfectly with a pair of jeans and heels or even flats. Another way how you can combine it is adding a touch of color with a bright orange like stylist Osiris Martinez did in the last photo.
Which look do you prefer?
After 16 years living in Barcelona, this summer we said Adèu to this amazing city. I can’t be thankful enough for all the good memories and things that Barcelona have given me during all this years.
Now are new home is Luzern in Switzerland. This gorgeous city is like a picture taken from a fairytale book. It’s mountains, the beautiful architecture, the lake and it’s vibrant cultural life is making us feel home very fast.
We are starting to build really nice memories here, but these days after what happened in Barcelona, one can’t help but feel broken and very homesick. I wish I could go back to Barcelona, wander in the barri gòtic and always discover new things. This city will always have a bit of me and I will always have a big chunk of it in me.
To feel less homesick I get somehow to see it every day with this cool Barcelona map from Modern Map Art. You can select from different sizes and colors and of course you can also select from a huge selection of cities and countries.
Unfortunately they do not offer Luzern’s map but I am sure my house soon will start showing our love for this new city, our new home.
It’s been exactly a week since I moved to Switzerland. It has rain every single day…Noah my oldest son told me the other day “summer here is like winter in Barcelona”. I am starting to believe he is right.
Hopefully as from tomorrow we will enjoy sunnier days, so this dress is making me dream of sun on my skin and picnics in the park.
How is your summer going?
Last week I had one of the craziest trips I have ever had. Together with my friend Hana we went on a party boat, but not any party boat, we embark on the Shipsomnia.
Shipsomnia is an electronic music festival on a cruise that gets amazingly redecorated for the occasion. Several stages where amazing sea creatures lived, including gorgeous mermaids and terrifying krakens.
4 days of permanent parties and concerts with a great line up with some of the best dj’s of the electronic music scene and with stop overs in Ibiza and Setè.
If you want to take it easy it is also possible. The cruise, Brilliance Of The Seas, offered all we needed, shops, minigolf, hair salon, gym and even a climbing wall.
I must admit that at the beginning we were a bit scared of the vibe that we would find on the boat. We were pleasantly surprised with an amazing crowd. Young, beautiful people from all over the world, really friendly and fun.
One of my best memories is definitely dancing to amazing music, surrounded with happy party people while seeing the sunrise in the mediterranean sea.
If you want to live the Shipsomnia experience make sure to visit their site, you can now pre-book your 2018 adventure!
